We finally got everything worked out with the loan peeps today, so we are definitely moving on Monday. Now I just have to pack the other half of the house. . . by myself. Who am I kidding, I could never pack all of this by myself. Luckily I have the Lord to help me along :)
Someone told me about a book called "Created to be his Helpmeet," has anyone read it? It sounds like something I would like and I'm thinking about asking for it for my birthday. Reviews, anyone?

Thank you for leaving a comment at my site!
I will be praying for you and your move in the coming days. I know that this can be tiring and stressful. Let us know when you are all settled in to your new place.
As for Created to be His Helpmeet, I found it to be a great read.
As with anything, I didn't agree with EVERYTHING, but I was pretty close. Debi Pearl writes in a way that makes you think you have an older woman sitting right at the table with you, teaching you all those things you wish you had known before you were married.
Hi Ashley my name is Jessica and I recently came across your blog and have enjoyed reading about your journey to become the helpmeet that the Lord has designed for you to be! I too am son that journey, I have read Created to be his helpmeet and I even have an extra copy from a study I was involved in if you are interested just let me know and I would be happy to send it to you. My email is Kevjessngirls@aol.com In Him Jessica.
Hi! I don't have a lot of time to talk about the book Created to Be His Helpmeet but I want to tell you that I really like the book. I have heard some negative comments here and there about trying to put men "in a box" by typing them ...but...I found it helped me relate much better to my husband and not worry so much. It really gives a good perspective on the different styles of men out there. I highly recommend the book!
Hi there! Congrats on your move. I have read the CTBHHM. I read it a coupld of years ago, and have since reread it recently. For me, it was very convicting. So much so that I threw it across the room once. Yeah, it's that good. Ha, ha. My sister read it as well, not being a Christian at the time, although she was on the road to becoming one. And it truely opened her eyes to God's word being relevant in the here and now.
I would definitely recommend it.

HI Ashley,
Congratulations on your new home!
I have not read the book by Debbi Pearl, although I hear the same kinds of things like the previous comments here. However, I just thought you should know that her husband believes in something called "sinless perfection." In other words, he teaches a Christian can live without ever sinning again- ever. He himself professes to not have sinned for years now. Do a search on Micheal Pearl, then ask your husband if he wants you to read a book by his wife. If you do read it, it is a good thing to keep in mind the underlying philosophy of the family to help you discern error. "Take the best, and leave the rest!"
My personal favorite read on the topic of godly wifehood: The Fruit of her Hands by Nancy Wilson:)
Blessings to you,
Suzanne
